In the city of Šiauliai, Lithuania, police have reported a series of audacious thefts from parked vehicles, highlighting concerns over vehicle security in the area. On Pailių Street, intruders forced their way into the territory of a private company and smashed the windows of two vans, a 'Ford Transit' and a 'Fiat Ducato', stealing a surveillance camera from one van and navigation equipment from the other. The total financial damage from these incidents is currently being assessed by police.

Another incident occurred in a parking lot on Aido Street where a 1992-born woman's 'Volvo V70' was targeted. Thieves broke the window of her vehicle and stole a dashcam. Similar to the earlier cases, the police are still calculating the extent of the losses incurred. This string of thefts has prompted authorities to initiate pre-trial investigations in accordance with Article 178 of the Lithuanian Criminal Code regarding theft.

The incidents have raised alarm among the community about vehicle safety and crime in Šiauliai, urging residents to be more vigilant.
