Recently, the city of Vilnius has experienced a notable surge in thefts, prompting concern among residents and authorities alike. The police recorded significant losses, with the most concerning incident occurring on Pilies Street, where five bicycles were stolen from a locked storage shed, totaling a loss of 5,179 euros. Various high-end models were taken, indicating that the thieves are targeting valuable items.

In addition to the bicycle thefts, another report came from Keltų Street, where construction materials including a heat recovery unit and plumbing equipment were stolen from a building site under construction. The total value of this theft was reported at 4,130 euros, adding to the worries of local residents about safety and security in their neighborhoods.

Car owners have not been spared either, as there have also been incidents of vandalism and theft from vehicles. On Gelvonų Street, a BMW had its front window smashed, resulting in the theft of various interior components worth about 1,850 euros. Similar thefts were reported elsewhere in the city, highlighting a growing trend of brazen criminal activity that local law enforcement is urging citizens to report.
