A man impersonating a delivery person assaulted a 76-year-old woman in Osaka, threatening her with a knife before fleeing the scene.
In a troubling incident in Ikeda, Osaka, a 76-year-old woman was violently assaulted by a man pretending to be a delivery person. The attack occurred around 11:05 AM when the assailant rang the doorbell and forced his way in, threatening the resident and brandishing what appeared to be a knife. Despite the brutality of the assault, which included kicking the victim, she fortunately survived the ordeal without life-threatening injuries.
The woman was attacked after opening her door, during which the suspect pushed her down and inflicted physical harm to her face and chest. Her daughter, alerted by the commotion, rushed to the scene only to find the man escaping without stealing anything. The daughter promptly contacted the police, indicating that a person with a knife had been in their home, leading to an immediate response from local authorities.
The suspect is described as an adult male wearing dark clothing, a white cap, glasses, and a mask, and was seen carrying a black shoulder bag. Ikeda Police are treating this incident as a case of robbery causing injury, and they are actively searching for the suspect. The location of the attack is situated in a residential area not far from Ikeda Station and near a local elementary school, raising concerns about safety in the community.
