Additionally, hospitals are currently facing an increasing number of patients, with nearly 300 arriving each week, with a growing incidence of people testing positive for both flu and COVID-19 simultaneously. According to reports from Latvia Television, while the overall number of confirmed flu cases is decreasing, the rate of patients requiring hospital treatment remains concerning, with an average of 270 hospitalizations each week.

This situation reflects ongoing challenges within the Latvian healthcare system, as well as the economic landscape marked by rising wages in certain sectors. As salaries improve in some industries, the pressure on hospitals due to viral infections emphasizes the need for continued public health vigilance and support alongside economic growth.
