Selection process of Semas for forest firefighters has vacancies for Rurópolis and Trairão

The Pará State Secretariat of Environment, Climate, and Sustainability (Semas) announced a selection process for forest firefighters in Rurópolis and Trairão, with free registration available from March 9 to 27, 2026.

The Pará State Secretariat of Environment, Climate, and Sustainability (Semas) has published a notice for a selection process aimed at recruiting forest firefighters in Rurópolis and Trairão. This call for applications was made through the Notice PSS nº 01/2026, made public on March 2, 2026. Candidates can register for free between March 9 and March 27, either online via the official Semas portal or in person at regional Semas offices, depending on their chosen area of work.

The available positions are distributed across seven priority areas in the state, particularly in the Rurópolis/Trairão region, which has been identified as strategic during the dry season. In addition to Rurópolis and Trairão, opportunities are also available in other regions, including Goianésia/Rondon do Pará, Moju/Paragominas, Itaituba/Moraes de Almeida, Novo Progresso/Vila Isol, Vila Central (São Félix do Xingu), and Conceição do Araguaia/Redenção. This recruitment effort is part of the State Plan for Prevention and Combat to Forest Fires (PEPIF), which outlines monitoring and preventive actions to manage and mitigate the risk of forest fires in these regions.

This initiative by Semas highlights the importance of local engagement in forest fire prevention, especially during critical dry periods. By bolstering these brigades with trained personnel, the state aims to improve its response capabilities to forest fires, ensuring better protection for the environment and local communities. The successful candidates will play a vital role in safeguarding the ecosystem and supporting the state’s broader environmental conservation goals.
