British rapper Ghetts, whose real name is Justin Clarke-Samuel, was sentenced to 12 years in prison by London's Old Bailey court for the hit-and-run killing of 20-year-old student Yubin Tamang, who was struck by his vehicle while he was driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. The incident occurred in northeast London last October, and the rapper admitted to causing death by dangerous driving.

During the sentencing, Judge Mark Lucraft recounted a harrowing account of the moments leading up to the collision, describing it as a "quite appalling litany of incidents." The CCTV footage presented in court reflected the severity of Ghetts' actions, which the judge described as "simply shocking."
