Young Fencers with Medals from Championship Receive Awards

Young fencers, including Julia Trynova, are awarded by the Estonian Olympic Committee for their achievements at the junior championship in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The Estonian Olympic Committee (EOK) is recognizing the achievements of young fencers who have won medals at international competitions. Notable among them is 17-year-old epee fencer Julia Trynova, who earned a bronze medal at the junior European Championships held in Tbilisi, Georgia, at the end of February. As a reward for her success, Trynova will receive a monetary award of 1000 euros, while her coach, Helen Nelis-Naukast, will receive 500 euros for her guidance.

In addition to rewarding individual accomplishments, the EOK also announced awards for the Estonian team that secured a bronze medal in the women's epee team event at the 2026 Junior European Championships in Tbilisi. The members of the team, Julia Trynova, Dinara Anis, Eliisa Kikerpill, and Aleksandra Nikolajeva, are each set to receive 500 euros. Their coaches, JΓΌri Salmi, Helen Nelis-Naukast, and Natalja Kotova, will also be rewarded with monetary prizes in recognition of their efforts in mentoring the young athletes.
