The Estonian junior women's epee team, consisting of Julia Trynova, Eliisa Kikerpill, and Dinara Anis, has advanced to the bronze medal match at the Junior European Fencing Championships held in Tbilisi, Georgia. The team showcased impressive performances by defeating Belarus 43-33, Turkey 45-39, and narrowly beating Poland in the quarter-finals with a close 41-40 score. In their match against Poland, Estonia initially led by seven points and entered the final bout with a five-point advantage, but Poland's Laura Misiak managed to score critical points against Julia Trynova, ultimately securing victory for her team.
In the semifinals, Estonia faced a strong opponent in Ukraine, where they were defeated 45-30. Ukraine's junior women's team has prominent rankings in the world adult rankings, featuring two fencers in the top 100, including Anna Maksymenko, who lies in the top ten.
