Jani Nyman, a promising Finnish hockey player, has been making waves in the American Hockey League (AHL) with his remarkable scoring rate. The player, who was sent from the NHL's Seattle Kraken to the Coachella Valley Firebirds at the end of last year, has scored 16 goals and added five assists in just 24 games. Notably, only two of his goals have come while on the power play, highlighting his ability to score in various situations. His dangerous shot has made him a key player in the Firebirds' lineup, signifying his potential to impact games positively.
Since late January, Nyman has shown consistency in his performance, scoring in 12 out of 24 matches, with only three games without a goal. His peak performance included a notable stretch in mid-January where he netted two goals across three consecutive away games. His exceptional form during this period earned him recognition as the AHL’s Player of the Week, showcasing his rising status in the league and among hockey enthusiasts.
In addition to his current strong performance, Nyman had a successful stint in the previous AHL season, where he played 58 games and amassed an impressive 44 points (28 goals and 16 assists).
