On Tuesday, Kiara de Souza succumbed to injuries sustained in a tragic kitchen gas explosion that occurred in her home in Ji-Paraná, Rondônia. Just days prior, on Sunday, her one-year-old son, Benício Nathanael, had lost his life due to the same incident. The explosion was reportedly caused by a gas leak from the cylinder, which led to catastrophic injuries for both Kiara and her child, with the father remaining hospitalized.

Emergency services, including the Fire Department and SAMU, responded to find neighbors had already administered first aid. The family was quickly transported to the Municipal Hospital, but unfortunately, young Benício could not be saved despite receiving medical attention. The community mourned the loss profoundly, with a funeral held the same day for the infant, marked by a procession to the Cemetery of Saudade for his burial.
