A woman named Mariana Melo Soares de Oliveira died after being set on fire by her ex-partner in front of her six-year-old daughter in Brazil.
Mariana Melo Soares de Oliveira tragically lost her life after being attacked by her ex-partner in the presence of her young daughter. The incident occurred in Campos Belos, Goiás, where Eduardo Soares de Alcântara, the victim's eldest son, recounted the harrowing details of the attack. According to him, the ex-partner forcibly broke into Mariana's home after she expressed a desire to end their relationship. In a horrifying turn of events, he doused her in alcohol and ignited her, while her six-year-old daughter witnessed the scene unfold.
The violent crime took place on Friday, October 11, and Mariana was discovered by a family member inside the house engulfed in flames, alongside her daughter. The local police have been investigating the circumstances surrounding the heinous attack, which has shocked the community. Mariana was rushed to the Hospital Estadual de Urgências Governador Otavio Lage de Siqueira (Hugol) in Goiânia for urgent medical care but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries later.
