Car invades the wrong lane, hits pickup truck, and is struck by another

A car driven by a 55-year-old man collided with a pickup truck on RR-205 in Boa Vista, Roraima, after entering the wrong lane, leading to further accidents involving another vehicle.

In Boa Vista, a 55-year-old man driving a car invaded the opposite lane of the RR-205 highway and collided with a pickup truck on Monday, October 2. The pickup truck, which was driven by another 55-year-old man who was heading towards the municipality of Alto Alegre, was struck on its left side as the car crossed into the wrong lane.

Following the initial impact, the pickup truck, identified as an S10, spun around and came to rest facing the opposite direction on the roadway. Subsequently, a third vehicle, an Amarok driven by a 31-year-old woman and also traveling towards Alto Alegre, struck the now-displaced Parati, which was left across the road as a result of the earlier collision.

Emergency services, including the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), responded promptly, providing initial care to the driver of the Parati, who was later transported to the General Hospital of Roraima (HGR) for further treatment. The Criminalistics Institute of the Civil Police of Roraima was called to conduct an investigation into the scene, ensuring that both pickup drivers involved were reported to be properly licensed to operate their vehicles.
