During a recent meeting in Nicosia with Cypriot Defense Minister Vassilis Palma, Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias stated that for Greece, "Cyprus is not far away." He mentioned that, as part of its commitment to the defense of the Republic of Cyprus, the Greek government has deployed two pairs of F-16 fighter jets to the island. In addition to the air support, two frigates are currently en route to Cyprus, reinforcing Greece's military readiness and support amidst the crisis.
