Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias is visiting Cyprus to meet with Cypriot officials and discuss regional security coordination.
Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias has traveled to Nicosia accompanied by the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Houfis. This visit coincides with the deployment of a Patriot missile system to Karpasso. The visit aims to strengthen coordination regarding security efforts in the region amidst concerns of potential destabilization.
During his visit, Dendias is scheduled to meet with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides at the Presidential Palace, followed by a meeting with Cypriot Defense Minister Vasilis Palmas where they will strategize on possible scenarios for responding to further destabilization in the region. A press statement is expected to follow these meetings, emphasizing the significance of bilateral cooperation in defense matters.
Additionally, Dendias will also meet with the Archbishop of New Justiniana and All Cyprus, Georgios, at the Holy Archdiocese.
