PFA establishes special hotline due to the situation in the Middle East
PFA has set up a free psychological hotline for its customers affected by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
In response to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Danish pension company PFA has established a free psychological hotline aimed at helping individuals affected by the turmoil. The situation has caused significant uncertainty among Danes currently in the region or those with family, friends, or colleagues there. PFA's initiative is a direct attempt to provide mental health support to its customers during these challenging times.
The hotline is available to all of PFA's 1.3 million customers, offering free counseling services provided by trained psychologists. These professionals are on standby 24/7 to assist call-in customers with tools to manage feelings of worry, insecurity, and stress linked to the developments in the conflict-stricken area. Rikke Bay Haaber, head of health at PFA, encourages anyone feeling impacted by the situation, whether directly or indirectly, to reach out for support.
This initiative underscores the importance of mental health care in the face of global crises and reflects the growing trend among corporations and organizations to offer support in times of distress. By providing a visible mental health resource, PFA not only acknowledges the psychological burden placed on its clientele but also plays a role in promoting overall well-being during a period of significant anxiety regarding international events.
