A 36-year-old woman was severely injured after being stabbed in the heart by her husband during a domestic dispute in the Jaraguá neighborhood of Uberlândia, Brazil. The incident, which occurred on the afternoon of a Monday, July 2, is currently being investigated by local authorities as an attempted femicide. According to the Military Police, the crime unfolded following an argument between the couple, after which the husband used a knife to inflict a life-threatening injury to his wife, reaching her heart.
Despite her grave condition, the victim managed to call for help, and neighbors who heard her cries intervened, managing to restrain the attacker until military police arrived at the scene. Emergency services transported the woman to the Integrated Care Unit (UAI) of Planalto, but due to the seriousness of her injuries, she was subsequently transferred to the Intensive Care Unit at the Federal University of Uberlândia's Hospital de Clínicas for further treatment. Medical reports indicated that she suffered a significant stab wound, prompting urgent medical intervention.
