Delhi Police's Operation Aghaat 4.0 Before Holi: Major Actions Against Many Individuals

Delhi Police conducted Operation Aghaat 4.0 to maintain law and order before the Holi festival, resulting in actions against 918 individuals.

Ahead of the Holi festival, the South-East District Police of Delhi launched 'Operation Aghaat 4.0' aimed at ensuring law and order during the celebrations. With the goal of preventing any illegal activities during the festive season, the police executed numerous raids and made arrests under various laws. Over the course of several days, the operation led to actions against a total of 918 individuals, reflecting the police's commitment to safety and security in the city during this busy time.

During the operation, law enforcement apprehended four individuals under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, seizing 6.66 kilograms of marijuana and 12.70 grams of MDMA. Additionally, 38 individuals were detained under the Excise Act, with police confiscating 8,276 quarter bottles of liquor, 110 beer bottles, and 28 cans of beer. This crackdown was particularly focused on halting illegal alcohol sales and storage before the festivities, underscoring the police's proactive approach to manage public safety.

The operation did not stop there, as law enforcement also made 29 arrests under the Arms Act, seizing illegal weapons and cash during the course of their efforts. This comprehensive operation serves as a reminder of the Delhi Police's emphasis on rigorous enforcement of laws to ensure that the joyous atmosphere of Holi is not marred by crime or disorder, reinforcing their role as guardians of public safety during the celebrations.
