Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC) has intensified its pressure on the Catalan government led by Salvador Illa by registering a total amendment to the Generalitat's budget proposals. The Secretary General of ERC, Elisenda Alemany, emphasized that they cannot support what she called the government’s resignation in its dealings with the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE). This move reflects ERC's dissatisfaction with the pace of negotiations concerning budget approvals and their commitment to hold the government accountable for any shortcomings in the process.
