Previewing the Future of Physical AI... Hyundai to Unveil Atlas in Korea at ‘AW 2026’

Hyundai Motor Group is set to unveil its autonomous mobility robot platform, MobED, and the humanoid robot Atlas at the AW 2026 event in Seoul, marking their first presentation in South Korea.

Hyundai Motor Group will unveil the MobED, an autonomous mobility robot platform, and the humanoid robot Atlas at the AW 2026 event, which is being held for three days in Seoul's Gangnam district starting April 4. The MobED is a compact robot measuring 74 cm wide and 115 cm long, capable of reaching a top speed of 10 km/h. It has previously gained recognition at CES 2026, where it won the Best Innovation award in Robotics, highlighting its adaptability to uneven terrains and its potential applications in logistics, delivery, and filming.

During the event, Hyundai's logistics subsidiary, Hyundai Glovis, will publicly showcase a non-driven model of the Atlas humanoid robot, which first debuted at CES 2026. This model is expected to attract significant public interest as Atlas has been engaged in proof-of-concept for parts sorting at the Meta Plant America in Georgia since last year, and plans to be implemented in verified processes from 2028. The exhibition plans to demonstrate autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) in action, showcasing the physical AI-driven capabilities for logistics automation.

The AW 2026 exhibition is the largest smart manufacturing innovation event in Asia, featuring over 500 companies and more than 2,300 booths. This showcases a growing trend towards advanced robotics and automation in various industries, reflecting Hyundai's commitment to innovation and business expansion in the logistics sector with the integration of physical AI technologies.
