The Carnival in Belém concluded with parades from eight samba schools within the special group, held over two nights at the Aldeia Amazônica, amid rainy conditions. The schools showcased themes that honored local traditions, popular faith, and notable figures from the Amazon, highlighting the region's cultural richness. The results of the parades will be announced on Tuesday evening, determining the champions and those that will be relegated to a lower tier.
The first night of parades commenced on Friday with the Xodó da Nega samba school, returning to the special group and paying tribute to the Cremação neighborhood. Other schools that performed on this night included Império Pedreirense, Acadêmicos de Samba da Pedreira, and Bole Bole, all contributing to an atmosphere of celebration despite the rain. The following night featured performances from União da Matinha, Boêmios da Vila Formosa de Icoaraci, Quem São Eles, and Deixa Falar, drawing large crowds who braved the weather to enjoy the vibrant displays.
The Aldeia Amazônica was packed with enthusiastic spectators sheltered under umbrellas, as they witnessed not only the impressive samba routines but also the presence of notable personalities. Among the attendees were renowned samba dancer Ciça, former Big Brother Brasil contestant Natália Deodato, and actors Samuel de Assis and Caio Manhente, adding to the festive ambiance and underlining the importance of this cultural event for the local community and beyond.
