Weakened dollar exchange rate causes growth to stagnate at Danfoss
Danfoss reported stagnant sales in 2025, with a slight organic growth despite negative impacts from a weakened dollar.
Danfoss, a leading Danish industrial company, announced that its sales for the year 2025 remained almost unchanged compared to the previous year, amounting to approximately 9.4 billion euros (around 70 billion kroner). The company experienced a three percent organic growth when excluding the impact of currency fluctuations. However, the weakened dollar had a negative effect on revenue, contributing to a three percent decline overall, as stated in Danfoss's press release regarding its financial results.
Throughout 2025, the dollar exchange rate fell against the euro, which meant that for each sale in U.S. dollars, Danfoss received fewer euros and thereby fewer Danish kroner than at the start of the year. While the company started the year with negative growth, it saw improvement throughout 2025, particularly in the second half where growth reached nine percent. This turnaround indicates that despite external currency challenges, Danfoss managed to enhance its performance as the year progressed.
Kim Fausing, the CEO of Danfoss, expressed satisfaction over the quarter-on-quarter improvement in financial results, attributing it to the company's resilience and dedicated efforts. The results highlight the ability of Danfoss to navigate unfavorable market conditions while maintaining a focus on operational excellence and growth amidst fluctuating exchange rates.
