Chopped the friend's body into pieces, put it in his own car and threw it in the Yamuna

A gruesome incident in Delhi reveals the murder of a 48-year-old man by his friend, who, motivated by greed, chopped the body and disposed of it in the Yamuna River.

In a shocking revelation that stains the fabric of friendship, a 29-year-old man known as Happy, along with his accomplices, has been arrested for the brutal murder of Anurup Gupta, a 48-year-old man who managed a canteen in Chhattisgarh Bhawan. The incident unfolded after Happy developed greed for Gupta's gold jewelry, which he had been eyeing for some time. A year into their friendship, Happy lured Gupta to his rented apartment under the pretext of a party, where the plan took a sinister turn.

On February 18, 2023, upon arrival at Happy's home in Matiala Extension, Gupta was bound and assaulted by Happy and his friends, who demanded money from him. When Gupta revealed that his gold jewelry was in his SUV parked outside, the situation escalated. Happy and his associates murdered Gupta and, intending to destroy evidence, dismembered his body. They then stuffed the remains into Gupta's own vehicle and disposed of it in the Yamuna River, obscuring their heinous act. Four of the perpetrators have been arrested, while one remains at large, highlighting a tragic tale of betrayal in the guise of friendship.

This incident raises alarming questions about trust and safety in personal relationships, particularly in situations involving material greed. As the investigation continues, authorities are emphasizing the need for vigilance in recognizing potential threats within social circles. The cold-blooded nature of this crime not only shocks the local community but also serves as a reminder of the dark influences that can twist human relationships, leading to fatal consequences.
