In a shocking incident in Lucknow, a 21-year-old son allegedly killed his father, a liquor trader, and dismembered his body after the crime.

In Lucknow's Aashiyana Sector L, a gruesome murder has unfolded where 21-year-old Akshat Pratap Singh is accused of shooting his father, Manvendra Singh, a 49-year-old liquor trader and pathology operator. After committing the murder, Akshat allegedly dismembered his father's body, disposing of the limbs in Parak's Sadarouna area while hiding the torso in a drum inside their home. The police have registered a case for murder and destruction of evidence against Akshat and taken him into custody.

Family members have expressed profound shock at the incident, indicating that they never anticipated Akshat to commit such a heinous act. They revealed to "Aaj Tak" that while the body was kept in the house, a girl was also present, raising questions about the dynamics of the household. The victim's brother, Bhakti Vardhan Singh, who was involved in business with Manvendra, had recently met him and was supposed to see him again the following morning, only to find himself mourning his brother's unexpected demise.

Authorities, including DCP Vikrant Veer, stated that a missing persons report was filed for Manvendra Singh on February 21, shortly before the horrific details of the case emerged. The involvement of Akshat Pratap Singh in this shocking crime reflects broader issues of familial strife and violence, leaving the community in disbelief, and prompting discussions about mental health and family dynamics in contemporary society.
