Korean baseball player Lee Jung-hoo commits to donating 100,000 won for each hit in the 2026 MLB season to support rehabilitation treatment for children with disabilities.

Lee Jung-hoo, a player for the San Francisco Giants, has extended his support for children with disabilities by promising to donate 100,000 won for each hit he makes during the 2026 Major League Baseball season. This initiative was announced in partnership with the Purme Foundation to open a 'Naver Happy Bean Children's Savings Bank' for the purpose of fundraising for rehabilitation treatment for handicapped children. This campaign celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Purme Foundation's Next Generation Children's Rehabilitation Hospital, which has played a significant role in the development of children's rehabilitation services in Korea.

In addition to promoting the campaign, Lee committed to substantial donations that can greatly impact the lives of underprivileged children. Naver Happy Bean has also promised to match his donations, contributing 1 million won for each home run he hits. Lee emphasized the importance of this initiative, expressing his desire for many people to come together and help children not to give up on their rehabilitation treatments so they can dream of a better future.

The Purme Foundation's Next Generation Children's Rehabilitation Hospital, founded in 2016, has provided customized rehabilitation services to over 710,000 children by the end of 2025, marking a significant milestone in the development of pediatric rehabilitation care in South Korea. Lee Jung-hoo, currently the captain of the Korean national baseball team, is also participating in the World Baseball Classic (WBC), showcasing his commitment both on and off the field to support children's rehabilitation efforts in the country.
