A 13-year-old boy named Unayz Khan was shot and killed during a birthday party in Lucknow, India, raising concerns about safety and accountability.
In Lucknow, in the Krishna Nagar police station area, a tragic incident occurred where a 13-year-old boy, identified as Unayz Khan, lost his life due to a gunshot during a birthday celebration. The incident took place when Unayz was taken to the party by a friend and a chauffeur. It was reported that around 3:30 PM, Unayz's father, Jameer Khan, informed the police via a written complaint that his son was taken by friends for the birthday party. Later, disturbing news was relayed to the family via WhatsApp, stating that Unayz was in the Lokbandhu hospital, leading to a frantic rush to the hospital by his family.
Upon their arrival at Lokbandhu hospital, the family was allegedly denied access to see the boy, which intensified their concerns. Not long after, police confirmed the unfortunate news that Unayz was dead. The cause of death was reported as a gunshot wound to the forehead. This incident has raised alarm among locals about the safety of children and the circumstances surrounding the shooting, especially given the alarming claim from one of the boy’s friends’ parents, who reportedly threatened the family over the phone with the words, "Look, is he alive or not?" suggesting a severe disregard for accountability.
This chilling occurrence not only highlights the potential dangers associated with firearms but also points to the urgent need for community regulations and parental awareness regarding children's safety.
