A military policeman in Potim, São Paulo, was shot twice during a robbery attempt early Monday morning while returning home from his shift. The incident occurred around 2:05 AM when the officer was ambushed by two armed suspects who emerged from a wooded area. Despite being shot twice in the left leg, the officer managed to return fire, discharging about 13 rounds, but the assailants escaped on foot and have not been apprehended.

Following the incident, the injured officer was taken to the Pronto-Socorro in Aparecida where he was monitored for his injuries.
