Brazil's Badespi has announced the allocation of more than R$ 100,000 to support rural producers and entrepreneurs in the municipality of Palmeirais. This funding comes from microcredit lines offered by the Agency for Fostering and Development of the State of Piauí (Badespi) and the Special Production Fund (FEP). It reflects the state government's commitment to strengthening the local economy and increasing access to credit for small-scale producers and entrepreneurs throughout Piauí.

Marcelo Bueno, the president of Badespi, emphasized the initiative's significance in fostering economic development within the interior regions of Piauí. He noted that the agency's financial support primarily targets sectors such as fish farming, sheep farming, and beef cattle farming, enabling local entrepreneurs to invest in and grow their businesses. This move is pivotal in enhancing the relevance of Badespi in facilitating economic growth and promoting the internalization of credit access in the state.
