A 33-year-old man was taken into custody on Sunday in Angra dos Reis, Brazil, for drug trafficking activities. The arrest occurred in the Sapinhatuba I neighborhood following tips about a local drug selling point. Upon arrival, law enforcement officials discovered the suspect near a table displaying various drugs. When alerted to the presence of police, he tried to escape into a nearby wooded area but was apprehended shortly after.

The police reported that the drug-selling setup was strategically constructed with a covering and furnishings, allowing the suspect to operate with a clear view of the surroundings while being accessed only by a staircase from a trail in dense foliage. This indicates a level of planning and awareness of the area’s geography, reflecting common practices among drug traffickers to conceal their activities from law enforcement.

During the arrest, authorities seized numerous items related to drug distribution, including a cell phone, a notebook containing trafficking records, eight bottles of aerosol drug 'lança-perfume,' 33 bottles of 'loló,' 41 bags of marijuana, R$ 47 in cash, 145 crack stones, and 245 capsules of cocaine. The apprehended suspect is reported to have a prior criminal record, which adds to the concerns about ongoing drug trafficking issues in Angra dos Reis and similar regions in Brazil.
