Final stage of works to inaugurate housing in a neighborhood of Escobar
The final stage of construction has been announced for a new social housing complex in Escobar, Argentina.
In Escobar, Argentina, authorities have announced that they are in the final stage of construction for a new social housing complex known as "72 Mermoz Homes" in the neighborhood of La Chechela. The local Minister of Habitat and Urban Development, Silvina Batakis, visited the site to confirm that the handover of the homes is expected to take place in March. This project is financed by the Provincial Housing Institute and aims to provide affordable housing solutions in the region.
The new housing complex will consist of 72 units distributed across three blocks. The homes include various configurations with 32 three-bedroom units, 37 two-bedroom units, and three that are specially adapted for individuals with reduced mobility. The sizes of the homes range between 68 and 89 square meters, making them spacious enough for families while adhering to modern housing standards.
The initiative goes beyond simply erecting walls and roofs; it includes a comprehensive range of infrastructure services such as potable water, sewer systems, gas lines, storm drainage, pavement, and public lighting. This ensures that the neighborhood will have the necessary amenities from the outset, promoting a livable community for future residents rather than just a collection of buildings without essential services.
