ANOTHER PRICE INCREASE ⟩ Elektrilevi raises network service fee

Starting in June, Elektrilevi will increase the average price of its network service by 3.4%.

Starting in June, Elektrilevi, the Estonian electricity distribution network operator, will raise the average price of its network service by 3.4%. This price increase is primarily attributed to the rising costs of electricity transmission services and general inflation. The additional revenue will be utilized for the maintenance and development of the electricity network, with nearly five million euros earmarked for investments from network service revenues.

The adjustments to the pricing affect only the monthly and bandwidth fees; however, the kilowatt-hour based charges for electricity will remain unchanged, according to the company's announcement. The increase will mean that monthly fees for the most commonly used packages will rise between €0.69 to €2.40, effectively impacting residential and business customers that rely on Elektrilevi's services.

This decision comes as part of a broader trend across the energy sector where utility companies are facing increased operational costs and economic pressures, prompting them to adjust their pricing structures. Consumers may need to prepare for these changes as they could influence household budgets and energy consumption decisions in the months ahead.
