Man dies after confrontation with police during chase of three robbery suspects in AC

He was suspected of being involved in a robbery at a rural property that occurred on Saturday night, which also included two other suspects, Carlos Afonso and Thiago Gomes da Silva. The trio allegedly invaded the property, tied up the residents, and stole a truck, a motorcycle, money, and other valuables.

On Saturday night, as the suspects attempted to flee the scene, they were pursued by police, leading to an exchange of gunfire around 10 PM. Although Carlos Afonso was apprehended during the incident, Antônio and Thiago managed to escape into the surrounding forest. The police continued the search for the remaining suspects following the confrontation.
