Apple has launched the affordable iPhone 17e in India, featuring MagSafe support and a new processor.

Apple has officially launched its most affordable smartphone, the iPhone 17e, in India, marking an important step in catering to budget-conscious consumers in the growing smartphone market. This launch comes on the heels of last year's introduction of the iPhone 16e, showing Apple's commitment to expanding its offerings in the lower tier of its product line. The iPhone 17e is equipped with a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, supported by HDR, with enhanced durability features thanks to Apple's Ceramic Shield 2 protection, promising improved resilience against drops and damage.

The design of the iPhone 17e retains a similar aesthetic to its predecessor, featuring a flat-edge frame with an aluminum body and a premium glass finish at the back. Notably, the device is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance, ensuring reliability in various conditions. The inclusion of MagSafe support allows for the attachment of magnetic accessories like chargers and wallets directly to the back of the phone, enhancing user convenience and experience. With an initial price of ₹64,900, and top variant pricing at ₹84,900, it is positioned competitively in the Indian market.

Sales of the iPhone 17e are set to begin on March 11, with availability both online and offline across various color options including black, pink, and white. This strategic release aims to tap into the growing demand for affordability among smartphone users in India, offering advanced performance alongside elegant design, and is likely to impact the competitive landscape of the budget smartphone segment significantly.
