Residents of Block 6 in Bastión Popular are still in shock following a tragic incident in their neighborhood. A delivery truck was making rounds in the area when it reportedly lost control and struck a man, who was also a beverage dispatcher, resulting in fatal injuries for the victim. The impact was severe, leading to the man's death on the spot, and underscoring the dangers posed by such vehicles in residential areas.

The truck continued its uncontrollable path and ultimately crashed into a house in the sector, where around eight people live. Fortunately, at the time of the accident, the house was unoccupied, preventing additional casualties. A female resident of the damaged property shared her experience with Teleamazonas, noting that when they arrived at the scene, some of their belongings were missing, raising concerns about the extent of the damage and the need for accountability for the incident.

The tragic incident has left the community rattled and many residents are calling for answers regarding the responsibilities of the delivery company and safeguards against such occurrences. Local authorities may need to revisit traffic safety protocols in the area to prevent future accidents, especially in dense residential neighborhoods like Bastión Popular.
