A tragic incident occurred on Sunday night (1st) in Mossoró, Brazil, where a 68-year-old man named Alfredo Neves de Melo was fatally struck by a car on a crosswalk on BR-110. The accident took place around 9:40 PM in the Costa e Silva neighborhood, as the victim attempted to cross the highway. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the vehicle involved in the accident was a Renault Kwid heading towards Areia Branca when it hit the pedestrian. The driver of the car, a 22-year-old, reported that the accident happened in a dark section of the road, making it difficult to see the man as he crossed.
