Mercedes VLE - luxury rival to Volkswagen ID. Buzz with a range of over 700 km
The new Mercedes VLE combines luxurious driving comfort with practicality, offering an electric range exceeding 700 km.
Mercedes has introduced the new VLE model, aiming to compete with Volkswagen's ID. Buzz, by merging the opulence of luxury sedans with the spaciousness characteristic of MPVs. Significant features of the VLE include an AIRMATIC suspension system that allows for a height adjustment of up to 40 mm, proving to be crucial for improving travel comfort. The car's maneuverability in urban environments is enhanced by its rear-axle steering, enabling it to execute turns within a mere 10.9 meters, comparable to the much smaller Mercedes CLA.
The VLE will debut with the VLE 300 electric variant, which delivers an impressive 203 kW of power. Mercedes is also set to introduce the VLE 400 4MATIC variant later on, boasting over 300 kW of power and all-wheel drive. The advanced 115 kWh battery empowers the VLE to achieve a remarkable WLTP range of over 700 km, coupled with rapid charging capabilities thanks to its 800 V architecture. Under optimal conditions, just 15 minutes of charging can restore up to 355 km of range, making it a highly efficient electric vehicle.
With its focus on comfort, practicality, and cutting-edge technology, the Mercedes VLE is positioned to meet the demands of modern drivers looking for a luxurious yet versatile electric vehicle. The introduction of this model signifies Mercedes' commitment to enhancing its electric offerings and competing robustly in the rapidly evolving automotive market, particularly against established rivals like Volkswagen.
