Three greenhouses with marijuana plants and cuttings found inside an apartment in Salvador

Three greenhouses containing marijuana plants were discovered inside an apartment in the Pituaçu neighborhood of Salvador, Brazil.

In a recent police operation in Salvador, Brazil, three greenhouses filled with marijuana plants were uncovered in an apartment located in the Pituaçu neighborhood. Officers from the Rondesp Atlântico unit became suspicious of a man loitering in front of a building on Rua 2 de Janeiro. Upon noticing the police arriving, the man fled the scene, prompting the officers to investigate further. They were greeted by a strong odor of marijuana, which led them to enter the premises, ultimately revealing the greenhouses.

In addition to the greenhouses, authorities also recovered significant quantities of various marijuana products during their search. This included 17 blocks resembling hashish, eight blocks of pressed marijuana, and three kilograms of a substance analogous to wolf. Furthermore, the police found 50 vials of cannabis oil intended for electronic cigarettes, a canister of 'lança perfume' (a type of legal high), and a portion of a substance thought to be cocaine. This extensive haul indicates a significant operation of illegal drug cultivation and distribution taking place within the local area.

The entire cache of illegal substances was transported to the Central Flagrantes, where a formal case has been opened. This incident highlights ongoing issues related to drug trafficking in Brazil, as authorities continue to address the cultivation and distribution of illegal narcotics, particularly those involving marijuana. The investigation remains active as police work to determine if the arrested suspects are connected to a larger drug network in Salvador or beyond.
