The Sunday Market, Between Wines and Encounters
A new initiative in Milan, the Sunday Market seeks to reduce barriers between artisanal winemakers and consumers through direct engagement without the constraints of traditional fairs.
The Sunday Market, taking place on March 15 in Milan, aims to create a more personal and meaningful interaction between artisanal winemakers and wine enthusiasts. This format shuns the overwhelming scale and impersonal nature of conventional wine fairs in favor of intimate encounters, allowing winemakers to connect directly with consumers in a relaxed setting. The event will run from 12 PM to 7:30 PM at Spazio Tertulliano, a space known for celebrating local artisans and community culture.
The market has been planned to occur on multiple Sundays throughout the year, with additional dates set for April, May, and June. Each event is designed to highlight artisanal wines while fostering a sense of community and togetherness among participants. This approach aligns with a growing trend in Milan that favors smaller, more interactive experiences over crowded commercial exhibitions, encouraging consumers to appreciate the craftsmanship behind the wines.
Spazio Tertulliano serves as an ideal backdrop for this initiative, blending elements of food, art, and neighborhood engagement. With more than ten natural wine producers expected to participate, the Sunday Market promises to transform weekends into a celebration of local wine culture, giving rise to a new ritual for Milanese wine lovers.
