Tartu University women's team wins fourth silver medal in Baltic League after losing to Lithuanian club

In the Baltic League final, Tartu University/Bigbank faced an intense match against Kaunas VDU, ultimately losing with a score of 1-3. In a closely contested first game, the Tartu team initially led by seven points and had two chances to win, but succumbed to a narrow defeat at 29-31. The second game saw Tartu rally to seize a 25-22 victory, leveling the match at one game each.
However, the momentum shifted in the third game as Kaunas showcased remarkable offensive skills, taking a commanding 25-14 win. In the fourth game, Tartu fell behind early at 7-14 and, despite efforts to rally, could not close the gap, ultimately losing 23-25. This resulted in Kaunas VDU winning the match 3-1 and marking Tartu's fourth time securing the silver medal in this league.
Key players such as Nora Lember stood out, scoring 22 points, supplemented by contributions from Laura-Liisa Maiste with 14 points and other teammates who played crucial roles.
