The missiles and rockets worry the residents of the Upper Galilee less than the possibility that they will be required to evacuate once again

Residents of Kiryat Shmona in Upper Galilee are more concerned about the prospect of future evacuations than the immediate danger from missiles and rockets amid a new conflict in the region.

A familiar and cool wind blew through the empty streets of Kiryat Shmona yesterday, as the city faces its third war in two and a half years. The echoes of sirens and a familiar sense of anxiety have returned after a year since the last conflict left the city with a severe demographic crisis due to prolonged evacuations. Approximately 60% of local businesses have reopened since the end of the last conflict, but many were closed again yesterday as fears of conflict escalated, especially with Hezbollah's involvement and renewed missile launches from Lebanon. The residents are grappling not only with the dangers of the current violence but also with the stress and trauma of potentially having to evacuate once more.
