Spring is Coming. Up to 18 Degrees Celsius
Poland's weather forecast indicates a transition to spring with increasing temperatures and fog warnings for certain regions.
As the inhabitants of many regions of Poland greet Monday morning, they are welcomed by dense fogs. The IMGW (Institute of Meteorology and Water Management) has issued a first-level warning: 'Dense fogs are forecasted, with visibility potentially dropping below 200 meters in some areas.' These warnings are in place until 9:00 AM in central and eastern Poland. The IMGW's recent report on current and predicted meteorological and hydrological conditions also suggests that local morning fogs may occur in the coming days.
The weather forecast for the first week of March indicates a rather sunny and almost rainless week ahead with temperatures that are mild for February. On Monday, maximum temperatures are projected to range from 3 degrees Celsius in the north-eastern regions, through 11 degrees Celsius in the center, to a maximum of 14 degrees Celsius in the south-west. The northernmost and eastern regions may experience minor rain showers. Tuesday, March 3rd, is expected to bring even warmer weather, with temperatures climbing further, signaling a notable shift towards springtime conditions.
This weather pattern is significant for local farmers and residents as it marks an important transition period in Hungary's climate, often associated with agricultural activities. The anticipated rise in temperatures and clearer skies is likely to be welcomed by many after the chill of winter, offering hope for a fruitful growing season ahead. Additionally, the fog warnings serve as a reminder for residents to stay safe while navigating affected areas until the fog lifts, especially in critical travel corridors.
