GDP growth of Estonia in 2025 was 0.6 percent
Estonia's GDP grew by 0.6 percent in 2025 compared to the previous year, marking the best economic performance in three years.
Estonia experienced a GDP growth of 0.6 percent in 2025, as reported by the Statistics Office. In the fourth quarter specifically, the GDP saw a 0.7 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024. Additionally, the overall GDP for the year reached approximately 41.6 billion euros, with the last quarter contributing 11 billion euros at current prices. Economic expert Robert Müürsepp noted that 2025 represented the best performance for Estonia's economy in the last three years, attributing the growth to consistent improvements across several quarters.
The positive growth in the fourth quarter was mainly driven by the manufacturing sector, which recorded a significant increase in value added by 13.3 percent. Moreover, the information and communication sector also showed robust recovery, contributing a growth of nine percent. Although many other sectors had minimal impacts on overall GDP, the manufacturing and tech sectors notably bolstered economic performance during this period.
This report reflects a cautious optimism about the Estonian economy's recovery trajectory after previous years of slower growth. Given the context of various global economic challenges, Estonia’s ability to achieve consistent GDP growth is significant for stakeholders and policy makers in predicting future trends and making informed economic decisions.
