Two Martyrs in Israeli Shelling North of Gaza

Two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli shelling in northern Gaza, despite the ongoing ceasefire agreement.

On Sunday, two Palestinians were reported killed and others injured due to Israeli artillery strikes in Jabalia, northern Gaza. This incident occurred despite a ceasefire that has been in effect since October 10. Eyewitnesses identified the deceased as Omar Sufian Monon and Mustafa Ahmed Zaghloul, who were struck in an area that, according to the agreement, should be free from Israeli military presence and actions.

As tensions continue, additional incidents of Israeli gunfire have been reported in the northern region, including a shooting that injured a child in Beit Lahiya. Reports also detail an injured young man from the east of Deir al-Balah due to Israeli fire. In the early morning, Israeli artillery also targeted the eastern parts of Gaza City, specifically in the neighborhoods of al-Tuffah and al-Zaytoun, further escalating the situation despite the ceasefire.

Since the initiation of this ceasefire, the Israeli military has killed 629 Palestinians and injured approximately 1,693, raising concerns about the humanitarian implications and the ongoing cycle of violence in the region. The health minister in Gaza has been consistently reporting casualties, indicating a critical humanitarian crisis that continues to deepen amid halted negotiations for lasting peace.
