Martyr in Gaza and Hamas issues a new warning
A Palestinian was killed in Gaza as Israeli forces escalate military operations, prompting a warning from Hamas about violations of a ceasefire agreement.
Israeli forces have intensified their military operations in the Gaza Strip, conducting a series of ceasefire violations that include killings and the demolition of buildings. The Islamic Resistance Movement, known as Hamas, has issued warnings that this behavior threatens to nullify the essence of the ceasefire agreement established on October 10, 2023, and undermines the accompanying political efforts. Reports indicate an ongoing trend of violence, with fatalities and injuries continuing to rise amidst this instability.
On Saturday, medical sources from Al-Shifa Hospital reported the killing of a Palestinian in the Shujaiya neighborhood of Gaza City as a result of Israeli gunfire. Additionally, reports from southern Gaza indicate that the Israeli army carried out extensive demolitions of residential buildings in areas under their control west of Rafah. These military actions are part of hundreds of violations committed by Israeli forces since the ceasefire was instituted, which have included bombings and direct fire toward civilians, highlighting the precarious situation for those living in the region.
As of today, the Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported that the total number of casualties due to what it termed "Israeli extermination" has risen to 72,027 martyrs and 171,651 injured since October 2023. This data reflects the severity of the ongoing conflict and raises concerns over the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the territory, as continued violence undermines hopes for a lasting peace and stability in the region.
