Stellantis offers a free automotive operations assistant course in Porto Real, Brazil, targeting economically vulnerable youth.
Stellantis has announced the opening of applications for its 2026 class of the Formare Program in Porto Real, Rio de Janeiro. The company is offering 20 free spots in the Automotive Industrial Operations Assistant course, designed specifically for young people in economically and socially vulnerable situations. Interested candidates can apply online until March 5 on the Iochpe Foundation's website, and must meet certain eligibility criteria including age and income limitations.
Eligible applicants must be aged between 15 and 17, currently attending or already completed secondary school at a public institution, and reside in Porto Real or its surrounding areas. They must also come from families with per capita incomes below the minimum wage and have not participated in previous vocational training programs. The course, which spans nine months and includes a total of 900 hours of tuition, will be conducted in-person at Stellantis’s facilities and will cover both technical and behavioral training.
The initiative reinforces Stellantis's commitment to corporate social responsibility by providing education and vocational training opportunities to underprivileged youth, thereby enhancing their employability in the automotive industry. By targeting local residents, the program aims to foster local talent and support the community economically, which is particularly relevant in re-developing areas and can contribute positively to the region's labor market.
