Reductions of up to 23% in PPC bills in March

PPC announced a reduction in its green household variable tariff to €0.129/kWh for March, down 23% from February, reflecting ongoing investments in renewable energy.

The Public Power Corporation (PPC) of Greece has announced a significant reduction in its green household variable tariff (G1/G1N) to €0.129 per kWh for March, decreased from the already lower rate of €0.13928 per kWh in February. This tariff represents a 17% decrease from March of the previous year, when the price was €0.1548 per kWh. The reduction is attributed to substantial investments made by PPC in renewable energy resources, enhancing the sustainability of energy pricing in Greece.

In addition to the overall tariff reductions, PPC also highlighted that the price for the green tariff during low-charging periods (formerly known as 'night tariffs') has dropped to €0.1148 per kWh. This provides significant benefits to customers with dual-zone meters, who can take advantage of the lower rates during off-peak hours, thus optimizing their energy costs. This strategy indicates PPC's ongoing commitment to supporting both renewable energy adoption and consumer savings.

Furthermore, PPC's yellow variable tariff, myHome4All, has been set at €0.1067 per kWh for March, also reflecting a 23% reduction compared to the previous month's charge of €0.13798 per kWh. These competitive prices aim to attract more customers to PPC's services and reinforce its position in a rapidly evolving energy market. The company's proactive adjustments in pricing illustrate an effort to balance profitability with the benefits of a shift toward renewable energy sources.
