DEI: Reductions of up to 23% in bills in March
The Greek state electricity company DEI has announced a reduction in household green electricity rates by up to 23% for March.
In a recent announcement, the Greek state electricity company, DEI, revealed that it will reduce the variable green household tariff G1/G1N to β¬0.129/kWh from the already lower market price of β¬0.13928/kWh last month. This new pricing marks a 17% decrease compared to the same month last year when the rate was β¬0.1548/kWh. DEI highlighted that the price drop results from significant investments in Renewable Energy Sources, underscoring the push towards more sustainable energy consumption.
Additionally, for customers with dual-zone meters, the price for the green tariff in low charging zones, previously known as the βnight-timeβ rate, will also decrease to β¬0.1148/kWh. This offers substantial benefits for those customers who can take advantage of lower prices during reduced charging hours. The reduction in rates is expected to provide relief to consumers in the face of rising energy costs and reflects DEI's commitment to making green energy more accessible.
Furthermore, the yellow variable tariff, DEI myHome4All, is set at β¬0.1067/kWh for March, which is down by 23% from February's price of β¬0.13798/kWh. This competitive pricing aims to attract more customers and enhance affordability, particularly as energy prices fluctuate in the current economic climate. DEI's strategic pricing adjustments are pertinent as the country navigates energy challenges while promoting renewable energy sources.
