Two climbers join the Estonian professional club Quick Pro Team

Italian cyclist Riccardo Lucca and Spanish cyclist David Delgado have joined the Estonian professional team Quick Pro Team.

The Estonian professional cycling team Quick Pro Team has announced the addition of two notable climbers: Italian Riccardo Lucca and Spanish David Delgado. Lucca, at 29 years old, has secured three professional victories throughout his career, including winning stages at both the Adriatica Ionica Race and the Giro della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia in 2022. In the previous year, he achieved success in the single-day race Trofeo Alcide Degasperi and has recently represented the Karcag Cycling EPKAR Team.

Mihkel RΓ€im, a representative of the Quick Pro Team, praised Lucca's experience and emphasized the importance of his ability to perform well in mountainous competitions. Lucca previously rode for the VF Group – Bardiani CSF – Faizane team, where he primarily had a support role. His recruitment was facilitated by the team's coach, Fabrizio Maesani, demonstrating the team's strategic approach to strengthening their roster with seasoned cyclists.

On the other hand, 25-year-old Delgado has yet to secure a professional victory but has shown promise by earning third place in a stage of the 2024 Portugal cycling tour. He previously raced for the Burgos Burpellet BH team, highlighting the Quick Pro Team's commitment to nurturing talent and enhancing their competitive edge as the cycling season progresses.
