The Munich Clinic Schwabing has recently completed the conversion of one of its old patient buildings into a significant residential area aimed at providing affordable accommodation for caregivers. Originally opened in 1909, the Munich Schwabing Hospital was renowned for its pioneering pavilion-style architecture and was considered the largest and most modern clinic in Germany at the time. The three patient buildings located on the western part of the clinic's premises were returned to the city of Munich in 2016 due to a reorganization plan for the Schwabing Clinic.
