The deadline for student half-fare registration and re-registration in Macapá has been extended to March 15.
The deadline for students in Macapá to register and re-register for the half-fare transportation benefit has been extended to March 15. This extension aims to help students in the capital secure their rights to discounted public transport, allowing them to access essential services and education without the burden of high travel costs. Registration can be completed at the Companhia de Trânsito e Transporte de Macapá (CTMac) from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
To register for the half-fare program, students must provide several documents including a school declaration, an official ID with a photo, an updated proof of address, and undergo a biometrics capture. The fees for registration are R$ 20, while the re-registration costs R$ 10. These fees and requirements are designed to ensure that only eligible students benefit from the program, thereby upholding the integrity of the discount system.
The initiative underscores the importance of affordable transportation for students, reflecting governmental efforts to improve accessibility to education and reduce financial strain among families. By extending the registration period, authorities are ensuring that students have adequate time to comply with the requirements and continue to receive transportation support necessary for their academic pursuits.
