DER of DF holds auction of vehicles seized in operations; see how to participate
The DER of the Federal District is holding its second public auction of the year for vehicles seized during traffic operations on March 6.
The Department of Highways of the Federal District (DER-DF) is set to conduct its second public auction of vehicles seized from traffic operations. This auction will take place on March 6, and participants can place bids through the auctioneer's website. The vehicles available include a variety of models, with current bids starting from R$ 850 for a 2007 Sundown Web100 to R$ 81,000 for a 2022 Jeep Compass Long TF, showcasing a wide range of options for potential buyers.
The items will be on display for viewing from March 3 to 4, between 9 AM and 5 PM, at the Via BrasΓlia Segura dealership in Samambaia. These vehicles were confiscated during traffic enforcement operations and have not been claimed by their owners within the legal timeframe, leading to their auctioning in compliance with applicable regulations. The DER-DF indicates that this process is essential for the appropriate handling and disposal of seized vehicles.
This auction not only provides a chance for the public to acquire vehicles at potentially lower prices but also supports the enforcement of traffic laws by discouraging vehicle negligence. By returning these assets to circulation through lawful auctions, the DER-DF aims to ensure compliance with legislation while promoting public participation in such activities.
